Note: This site is currently "Under construction". I'm migrating to a new version of my site building software. Lots of things are in a state of disrepair as a result (for example, footnote links aren't working). It's all part of the process of building in public. Most things should still be readable though.

Jay Maisel -- Photo for September 6 2012

A photo of Jay Maisel wearing a black jacket over a black shirt talking. He's wearing thin framed silver glasses with a slight horizontal oval shape, standing and talking with a seated conference attendee who's back is to the camera. The background is an orange brown paneling with occasional vertical black stripes where the panels connect

Jay Maisel is a master photographer. You've seen his work before on the cover of Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" album. I was lucky enough to attend a session taught by Mr. Maisel at Photoshop World. He discussed his street photography and capturing people in their native environments. It seemed only appropriate to take this shot of him in the same vein.
