Note: This site is currently "Under construction". I'm migrating to a new version of my site building software. Lots of things are in a state of disrepair as a result (for example, footnote links aren't working). It's all part of the process of building in public. Most things should still be readable though.

Self-portrait with Vertical Blinds

A self-portrait taking as a backlit reflection in a window with open vertical blinds on it. The blinds make dark lines extending up and down the image which is lit by a soft light opposite wall. The image is cropped square. Three quarters of my silhouette extends from the bottom of the frame up until just below the top third of the image where I'm move one body position off center to the left. My elbow is extended to the middle of the frame as I hold the camera.

The total number of images in the world where photographers photographed themselves in some sort of reflective object has to be staggering.
