Next Digital Step

If someone wants to buy me a really expensive present, this would do just fine:

After watching the Crimson Tide beat the tar out of Florida and then hitting the bars for several drinks, I ended up crashing at a friend's place for the night. This is the view from his apartment. If you have a million dollars you can buy the empty lot in the foreground.

If you work in an office, you may have a scene like this:

If you are one of the people who uses styrofoam cups, go buy a glass and use it instead.

Copyright in Photoshop

For those of you that use Adobe PhotoShop. If you want to add a text copyright stamp to your image while using the text tool you can do it by holding down the "Alt" key and then pressing the following number in order on your number pad: 0, 1, 6, 9.
While you are typing in the numbers you won't see anything change. Once you punched in all four and release the "Alt" key, the copyright symbol will appear.

F3 Nostalgia

I'm watching the move Kalifornia.
In it one of the characters is a photographer. She is using a Nikon F3 which was my first real camera and the one that I shot with for probably 10 years. I've still got it and it's still a fine machine. Of course, I don't really use it since all I really shoot is digital. Maybe when I retire or become a full time photographer again I'll bring it back out.
In the movie the camera has a motor drive attached. To the sound designers credit, they actually recorded the sound of an F3 with an MD-4 drive on it. Most movies I've seen when a photographer is shooting, the sound is from a completely different camera.

This easily falls into the category of things I would never have dreamed my name would be involved with. None the less, one of our PGA TOUR internet applications named TOURCast just won an Emmy.
Basically, I'm just shaking my head in disbelief.
